Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Venty. By using the app or website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Venty.
What Venty is
Venty is an anonymous confession platform. Anyone can browse and read approved confessions without an account. Signing in with Apple ID lets you post confessions (which are moderated before going public), react with emojis, and bookmark posts for later.
Who can use it
- You must be at least 17 years old to use Venty. The App Store age rating is 17+ because of potentially mature themes.
- One Apple ID per person.
- You're responsible for any activity that happens under your account.
Your handle
When you sign in you pick a handle (3–10 lowercase letters and digits). The handle is your only public identifier and is shown alongside any reactions and comments you make. Your confessions are stored without any link to your handle — so even an admin cannot connect a confession back to its author.
Content rules
Don't post confessions that:
- Are illegal in your country or in Turkey (where Venty is operated).
- Contain hate speech, harassment, threats, or incitement to violence.
- Sexualize minors or contain CSAM in any form.
- Dox someone — sharing identifying information (real name, address, phone, employer, etc.) about another real, identifiable person without their consent.
- Promote self-harm in ways that encourage it (sharing your own struggles is welcome; encouraging harm is not).
- Spam, advertise products, or contain malware/phishing links.
- Impersonate another person or claim to be Venty staff.
- Violate any third party's intellectual property rights.
Every confession is reviewed by a human moderator before becoming public. We may reject a post for any reason we believe falls outside the spirit of these rules.
Moderation and removal
We can — at our sole discretion — reject, remove, or hide any confession, comment, or reaction. We can also disable accounts that repeatedly violate these rules. Because confessions are unlinked from accounts, we cannot retroactively trace a removed post back to its author.
Reporting content
If you see something that violates these rules, please report it from inside the app (long-press a confession → Report) or email us at hello@venty.social. We aim to review reports within 48 hours.
Intellectual property
You retain ownership of confessions you post. By posting, you grant Venty a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and host that content for the purpose of operating the app — including showing it to other users and generating link previews for sharing. You can request takedown of your confessions at any time by emailing hello@venty.social; since posts aren't tied to accounts, please include the title and approximate date.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time. See the Privacy Policy for details. Account deletion removes your handle, reactions, and bookmarks. Confessions you've posted remain (they're already detached from your identity).
Disclaimers
Venty is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uptime, that any confession will be approved, or that the service will be free of bugs. Confessions reflect the views of their anonymous authors, not Venty's.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Venty isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. If we're found liable for direct damages, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months — which is currently zero, as Venty is free.
Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and surface a notice in the app. Continued use of Venty after such changes means you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Istanbul.
